On the hinge leaf or the spacer along the glass edge, ViewLux stamps a reference code, sometimes a two-letter prefix followed by a four-digit number. We match parts by that code plus the sash width and height, never by the series name alone. Where true OEM parts are discontinued, quality aftermarket equivalents are available, and we will tell you plainly when an OEM part is worth the wait versus when an equivalent will outlast the original in coastal air.

Signs Your ViewLux Window Replacement Is Failing

• Sash drops or will not stay open. The hinge or the operator arm has worn beyond adjustment. This is the most common issue we see, especially on windows that face the ocean or sit within a mile of the Intracoastal.
• Crank or handle spins freely. The gear mechanism inside the operator has stripped. Older ViewLux operators used a zinc alloy gear that does not hold up to Palm Beach humidity and repeated use.
• Permanent fog between the panes. The insulated glass seal has failed. Once moisture is inside, the unit’s argon gas is gone and the window loses its thermal performance. Nobody re-seals these in the field; the glass gets replaced.
