Simonton door installation in Palm Beach typically runs $350 to $900 installed, depending on the door series and what failed. We stock Simonton-compatible door parts on our trucks and complete most replacements in a single visit. The way owners usually find us: a sliding door that suddenly drags, a hinge side that’s dropped a quarter inch, or a latch that stopped catching after years of salt air and afternoon sun working on the frame.

Which Simonton Models This Applies To

Here’s the compatibility gotcha: Simonton stamps the door’s model code on a white label at the top of the operable panel, and on the hinge side jamb for swing doors. If the label’s gone, measure the glass thickness and the roller wheel diameter before ordering anything. For OEM versus aftermarket, we carry both. Simonton’s factory hardware is what we install when the door is under warranty or when a client wants exact replacement. Aftermarket rollers from Prime-Line and similar suppliers run 30 to 40 percent less and work fine on doors past their warranty window. We’ll quote both on paper so you can see the difference, and we register the manufacturer warranty in writing before the truck leaves the driveway.
This also applies to a handful of Andersen, and Pella doors we service, but Simonton’s the line where the model-to-part matching really separates a proper install from a callback.
Signs Your Simonton Door Installation Is Failing
- Door drags or catches about two-thirds open. The rollers have flat-spotted or the track’s collected enough Palm Beach sand to lift the panel out of alignment. On coastal properties, salt works into the roller bearings and the drag only gets worse.
- Latch no longer lines up with the strike plate. The door leaf has settled, usually because the roller housing or hinge screws have wallowed out the frame. You can shim once, but the real fix is replacing the worn hardware and resetting the leaf square.
- Visible moisture between the glass panes. The insulated unit has lost its seal. Florida humidity finds every failed seal, and once water condenses inside the glass, the only repair is reglazing or replacing the panel.
- Door whistles on windy afternoons. Worn weatherstripping or a frame that’s pulled slightly out of square lets air push through. That’s not just an irritation, it’s humid air getting into your wall cavity every time the sea breeze picks up.
- Frame shows white powder or pitting at the bottom corners. Aluminum frames on older Simonton doors oxidize in salt air. Surface oxidation is cosmetic. Deep pitting at the corner welds or track channel is structural, and that’s where replacement starts to pencil out against repeated patching.

DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check the label on the door edge to identify your Simonton series, and you can run a utility knife along the track to see if sand and shell grit have built up. That’s about as far as we’d suggest. Removing an operable sliding door panel without the right lift technique, or pulling a spring-loaded roller assembly apart, can throw the panel off its track and into a person or a piece of furniture. We’ve seen homeowners with forty years of handyman experience lose a panel that way. This one’s worth a call.
